A new UN report revealed extreme violence against children in conflict zones in 2023, with 32,990 grave violations and 11,649 children killed or maimed, a 35% increase from the previous year. Despite this, over 10,600 former child soldiers received protection and reintegration support, and UN efforts in various regions led to measures reducing violations and releasing children from conflict situations.
