The International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) is a leading global intergovernmental agency for energy transformation that serves as the principal platform for international cooperation. It supports countries in their energy transitions and provides state-of-the-art data and analyses on technology, innovation, policy, finance, and investment.
IRENA Assembly is IRENA’s ultimate decision-making authority, composed of one representative from each member state. It convenes annually to discuss and decide upon issues such as the work programme, budget, adoption of reports, applications for membership, and potential amendments to agency activities.
The fourteenth session of the IRENA Assembly will take place in two parts, on an exceptional basis, as follows:
Part I: In a virtual format on January 15, 2024, from 15:00 to 18:00 Gulf Standard Time (GST).
Part II: With in-person participation from April 16–18, 2024, in Abu Dhabi, running from 10:00 to 18:00 in parallel to the World Future Energy Summit (WFES).
