Ms. Tahani Abu Daqqa, a Palestinian entrepreneur and former minister in the Palestinian Authority, has dedicated her life to helping her community in Gaza. Using the dowry she received upon marriage, she built the first greenhouse project in Gaza. She has also created multiple projects to empower local women and installed solar panels to mitigate energy shortage in Gaza. The ongoing conflict destroyed everything she has built so far, but she’s determined to continue serving her community. Ms. Abu Daqqa was a participant of the panel “Women, Peace, and Security: How to Promote Stability in Conflict-affected Countries by Funding Female Entrepreneurs” at the 5th World Entrepreneurs Investment Forum in Bahrain on 16 May 2024.
