The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) was established on 8 August 1967 in Bangkok, Thailand. With 10 member states, ASEAN stands today as a beacon of regional cooperation and integration.
In 2021, building upon its legacy of regional cooperation since 1967, ASEAN adopted Vision 2045, a strategic plan responding to evolving global trends and internal challenges. Extending beyond the ASEAN Community Vision 2025, it aims to intensify integration and enhance connectivity across economic and socio-cultural sectors. Vision 2045 addresses contemporary issues such as digital transformation, environmental sustainability, and socio-economic inequities.
The ASEAN Future Forum 2024, scheduled to take place in Hà Nội on April 23, is expected to provide a platform for stakeholders to contribute ideas and initiatives to shape ASEAN's future vision.
