Georgia's Law on Transparency of Foreign Influence, more commonly known as the 'foreign agents bill' requires media and nongovernmental organisations and other nonprofits to register as “pursuing the interests of a foreign power” if they receive more than 20% of their funding from abroad.

Ravina Shamdasani, Spokesperson for the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), expressed that this law undermines freedom and should be shelved.
