Jean Pierre Lacroix, the USG for Peace Operations will be traveling to the Syrian Arab Republic where he will meet with the relevant caretaker authorities as well as UN Peacekeepers serving in UNDOF, including UNTSO military observers assisting that mission. The visit will also help establish channels of communication between UNDOF and the new authorities in Syria. Mr. Lacroix will also travel to Israel where I will meet with authorities and UN colleagues.
